A growing number of minors are being recruited by adults to carry out smash-and-grab jewelry store robberies in Ontario and are told that if they are caught, as youths, they would face little or no time in custody, an investigation by CBC's the fifth estate has found.
Ottawa police say an investigation is continuing into an incident Thursday afternoon involving widespread 911 calls of a person spotted with a firearm in the Stanley Avenue and Keefer Street area in the city's New Edinburgh neighbourhood. Read More
