Search for three bears responsible for B.C. attack continues, despite grizzly caught in Bella Coola

Conservation officers say a grizzly bear has been captured in Bella Coola on British Columbia’s central coast but the search continues for three bears believed to be connected to last week’s attack on a group of students and teachers.
The B.C. Conservation Officer Service says it’s “not conclusive” the bear captured early Monday morning was involved in the attack, so it will be fitted with a GPS collar and relocated.
The RCMP say they directed the FBI to arrest and charge a California man who allegedly threatened a suburban Vancouver victim on behalf of India’s notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.The Langley detachment of the RCMP announced the American charge of interstate communication of threats of violence Thursday against Jasmeet Singh of Fresno, Calif., related to WhatsApp calls made in May, 2024.Mr. Singh, who entered the United States in the spring of 2023, is in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the official criminal complaint filed by the FBI says.
