A provincially appointed supervisor has fired the director of education at Ontario’s largest school board, amid a shakeup of board governance by the education minister.
The supervisor of the Toronto District School Board says in a memo to staff today that the board needs a fresh start and Clayton La Touche is leaving, effective immediately.
A Quebec company that operated a chemical manufacturing plant in eastern Gatineau, Que., has been fined $1.35 million for discharging a harmful substance in 2019, according to Environment Canada.
