The taiga flycatcher has never before been seen in Canada. At least, not until this holiday season when a bird watcher spotted the rare avian specimen in a Vancouver park.

Environment Canada has identified hazardous weather for Sunday, December 28. As a result, the City of Ottawa has declared a Significant Weather Event. This declaration suspends the Maintenance Quality Standards timelines required for our City to meet our winter maintenance objectives.
