Birders flock to Vancouver beach to see rare bird native to Russia

A group of hardy nature-lovers braved the cold on Saturday to raise awareness of a potential threat to two pieces of land owned by the National Capital Commission that have been redesignated to permit future development under the City of Ottawa’s rezoning plan.
