Niagara boards’ math strategies may be a lesson for Ontario

When Ontario’s standardized test results were released last month, they pointed to the trouble many students are having learning math − but some boards have been excelling.
Half of Grade 6 students and 42 per cent of students in Grade 9 did not meet the provincial standard for math in the 2024-25 school year, according to data released by the Education Quality and Accountability Office, an arm’s length agency of the provincial government.
Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau shared a personal message with fans and followers about being “uncoupled at 50” and adjusting to the challenges of “midlife singlehood.”

OTTAWA — The official portrait of former prime minister Stephen Harper will be unveiled today on Parliament Hill, 20 years after he won an election that marked the beginning of almost a decade in power for the Conservatives.
