Industry Minister Melanie Joly says negotiations with China regarding Canada's EV tariffs and China's canola tariffs are ongoing ahead of a planned meeting between Prime Minister Mark Carney and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Energy Minister Tim Hodgson said China is looking for reliable trading partners who don't use energy for coercion, and Canada has energy the world, including China wants.
