Playwright with Ottawa roots showcases 1st piece at NAC

A new Canadian play premiered on the NAC stage this week, written by and starring a former drama student from Ottawa's own Canterbury High School. Copperbelt is the first play written by Toronto actress Natasha Mumba, who was born in Zambia and arrived in Ottawa as a teenager. CBC's Sandra Abma shares her story.
The City of Ottawa was aware that Ottawa's largest school board, currently under provincial supervision, would list a vacant school on Draper Avenue for sale, but said it didn't fit the city's "operational needs." Read More
