Canada must be able to defend its sovereignty on its own, Stephen Harper says

Former prime minister Stephen Harper says he never thought the biggest threat to the Canadian Arctic would be from the American government. Harper discussed Arctic sovereignty in a fireside chat with his former rival and former Liberal prime minister Jean Chrétien.
The two countries are working to build links between the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the European Union. Accomplishing that would create a new trading bloc of 1.5 billion people.
