Three men and one woman who are currently attending, or are alumni of, Western University face a slew of charges alleging — among other things — that they were storing chemicals that could be made into explosives at a house just west of campus in London, Ont. Here's what we know about them.

Ontario is examining legislation that would allow special constables to arrest and ticket drug users. Today, Ottawa City Council has voted 17-7 to endorse that legislation. It would also expand present-day enforcement powers to OC Transpo special constables, who would be able to arrest and fine people using drugs on public transit. The motion was moved by Rideau-Vanier councillor Stéphanie Plante. She joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
