Hour 1 of Ottawa Now for Tues. February 10th, 2026

February 10, 2026

If you’re worried about your health, whether it’s mental or physical pain, one of the most ill-advised ideas to pursue is taking your problems to the Google homepage. What starts as a general question on Web M.D. could turn into a fear-induced rabbit hole. Today, Artificial Intelligence is taking things one step further, as A.I. now has the ability to generate medical advice based around your questions or concerns. Understandably, the Canadian Medical Association is warning fellow Canadians about the dangers of conferring with A.I. over such matters. Kristy Cameron chats with Dr. Alykhan Abdulla, a family doctor who is based in Manotick. Later in the show, we pick the brain of Dr. David Barber, a Kingston-based family doctor who also works with the Ontario Medical Association. Meantime, we have an update into the heart-wrenching story of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of a famous TV host who went missing last week. Foul play has been suspected in her disappearance, and the Guthrie family is willing to pay money for Nancy’s safe return. CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent joins us with the latest developments from the FBI. But first, we bring you up to speed on today’s top headlines.
