Over 24,000 federal public servants have received ‘workforce adjustment’ letters, notifying them that their jobs are at risk due to department-wide budget cuts. It’s being labeled by some as a push to urge employees to leave under their own volition. Brooklyn Holmes, a married mother of 2 young kids, is one of those thousands. In fact, her husband also works in the public service. And when they are both slated to abide by the 4-day workplace model later this Summer, daycare and employment will be top of mind.
