In November, MP Matt Jeneroux decided to leave the Tories, but not join another party. Today, he is joining the Carney Liberals, marking the third Conservative MP to make that decision since the new government was formed last Spring. OTTAWA — Conservative amendments to provide more guardrails to a provision in the federal budget that would allow cabinet ministers to exempt entities from federal laws was passed by the finance committee on Monday, with support from the Liberal government.
