The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority has designated five new “community hazard zones” around elementary schools, citing ongoing social and environmental concerns. The affected areas include neighbourhoods near Chinatown along Somerset Street West, as well as Lowertown around Rideau Street and King Edward Avenue.
