Reminder about March 19 deadline for interim property taxes and Vacant Unit Tax declarations

February 19, 2026

Residents are reminded the deadline for interim property tax payments and Vacant Unit Tax (VUT) declarations is just one month away – Thursday, March 19.

This reminder is to help residents avoid additional charges on their property tax bills. For late payment on the interim property tax, a penalty charge of 1.25 per cent is added on the day following the March 19 due date, and it will be subsequently added to the outstanding amount on the first day of each month. Late VUT declarations are subject to a $250 late fee.
