Edmonton restaurant chain Central Social Hall has been sold to franchisor Foodtastic, which is also behind many Second Cup, Milestones, Freshii, Quesada, PitaPit and Jimmy Johns.

Dillon Lee and Lara Jamieson helped rescue a pig that had escaped from a pickup truck as it travelled last Saturday on the 417 at Carling. The pair, and the pig's owner, were eventually able to load the animal into a proper trailer.
