Ottawa Now - Canadian tourists in Mexico urged to seek shelter as violence runs rampant

Canadians who are vacationing and living in parts of Mexico have been urgently ordered to shelter in place. This warning goes double for anyone who is currently visiting Puerto Vallarta, a popular tourist destination in the country. It follows the demise of a major Mexican drug cartel leader, who was reportedly killed in a government operation just days ago. And now, a wave of violence has engulfed the area.
