During a lengthy State Of The Union Address last night, U.S. President Donald Trump said he will remain committed to realigning global trade through tariffs. In provincial news, the Ford government is examining legislation that would allow special constables to arrest and ticket drug users. Today, Ottawa City Council has voted 17-7 to endorse Ontario’s approach. Rideau-Vanier councillor Stéphanie Plante, who forwarded the motion to City Hall, pays us a visit in Hour 2. Plus, the game of cricket is booming in Canada’s Capital, and the municipality is setting its sights on a new full-sized outdoor regulation pitch.
