Kingston police use-of-force incidents decline in 2025: year-end report

A new year-end report shows that Kingston police officers used force less frequently in 2025 compared with the year prior, with overall incidents dropping to 63 from 73 in 2024.

Dillon Lee and Lara Jamieson helped rescue a pig that had escaped from a pickup truck as it travelled last Saturday on the 417 at Carling. The pair, and the pig's owner, were eventually able to load the animal into a proper trailer.
