Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Tues. March 3rd, 2026

March 3, 2026

This coming Sunday, British Columbia will be springing forward for the final time, meaning their clocks won’t be giving an inch once we reach November. They have officially put their foot down. They are done with Daylight Savings Time. Here in Canada’s Capital, there have been attempts to cut the cord, but Ontario says they won’t do it unless New York and Quebec follow suit. Is it time we finally join the party? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Staying in B.C. for a second, the province’s Chief Coroner has announced an inquest into the Tumbler Ridge tragedy. CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent delivers the details. Plus, the owner of a Downtown Ottawa parking garage expects to begin restructuring work very soon, with the hopes of reopening the lot in the ‘near future’. This comes just over a year after the structure partially collapsed. Somerset councillor Ariel Troster pays us a visit in Hour 3.
