Canada's former most wanted fugitive facing extradition to Quebec

Dave "Pik" Turmel faces numerous criminal charges, including drug trafficking, conspiracy and assault with a weapon causing bodily harm. He is also suspected of being linked to numerous other crimes committed in Quebec.

Ottawa Fire Services said in an after hours media release it responded to a fire on the 19th floor of a residential high rise at around 9:30 p.m., and that smoke and flames were visible through a balcony door when it arrived on scene.
