Different suspect now faces charges for Saskatoon’s 1st homicide of 2026

Saskatoon police have charged a second person, 26-year-old Albert Scott, in connection with the city's first homicide of the year.
Quebec coroner Stéphanie Gamache will lead a public inquiry into the deaths of five unhoused people, which took place over the past seven months in Montreal. The city’s mayor, who was in tears in late March while announcing the deaths of two people experiencing homelessness, says the final report will include recommendations for authorities aimed at preventing such occurrences.
