Quebec police investigating death of inmate from Ottawa after prison assault

The Sûreté du Québec is investigating the death of an inmate at the Donnacona Institution — a maximum-security federal prison located roughly 45 kilometres west of Quebec City — following an altercation.

An inquest found Gray's death was a homicide, although coroner Larry Marzinzik told the jury the term is neutral and does not imply fault.
