A group representing Quebec’s dairy industry wants to get a special designation for the province’s cheese curds. But as Jodie Applewaith reports, cheesemakers in Ontario worry about how that label will affect their products’ standing on the world stage.

Quebec coroner Stéphanie Gamache will lead a public inquiry into the deaths of five unhoused people, which took place over the past seven months in Montreal. The city’s mayor, who was in tears in late March while announcing the deaths of two people experiencing homelessness, says the final report will include recommendations for authorities aimed at preventing such occurrences.
