Quarry expansion gets committee go-ahead despite resident concerns

An Ottawa quarry owner has passed the second-final step at Ottawa City Hall, getting approval from the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee Thursday, in a plan to expand the operation's footprint three-fold.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford is making his announcement on March 16, 2026, along with Solicitor General Michael Kerzner.
