Mihail Oblacov's life hit "rock bottom essentially right out of the gate" after he was introduced to crystal meth, his lawyer says. His actions while he was in the throes of his addiction in 2024 caused the death of a stranger.
A motion passed at Ottawa city council earlier this week to extend a winter parking ban year-round near the South Nepean Muslim Community mosque. As CBC's Liam Baker reports, worshippers say their parking options are already limited.
