Conservation authority issues flood warning for Cornwall and nearby areas

The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) has issued a flood warning for its jurisdiction, which includes the City of Cornwall and parts of North and South Stormont and North and South Glengarry.

Ontario passed Bill 5, which included the special economic zone provision, last year in a bid to speed up approval and construction of large projects like mines. The provision allows cabinet and the environment minister to suspend any and all provincial and municipal laws within such zones as they see fit.
