$750 school supply allowance dismissed as 'Band-Aid' solution

Wednesday's provincial announcement that elementary teachers will receive $750 a year to purchase classroom supplies is a step in the right direction, but fails to address systemic underfunding, say unions, experts and critics.

Starting on Wednesday, it will be $5 more for a car and driver sailing between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay, so the new standard rate, with a reservation, will be $110 each way.
