B.C. mathematician critical of Iranian regime killed by people known to him, police say

A British Columbia mathematician who was deemed a vexatious litigant by a judge for initiating numerous legal actions without merit was killed in a targeted incident by people who were known to him, homicide investigators say.
Clare’s Law allows police officers to provide an individual’s history of abusive behaviour to those who may be at risk. It was named after Clare Wood, a 36-year-old woman in the U.K. who was murdered by a former domestic partner who police knew to be dangerous.
