What Autumn Durald Arkapaw’s Oscar win means for young, diverse filmmakers trying to make it in the industry

Ottawa filmmaker Patrice James says the fact that a young woman of colour won the Oscar for best cinematography for the first time inspires a lot of hope. But as James tells CBC’s Rachelle Elsiufi, while it’s nice to see the progress she feels there is more work to do.
