China forced labour 'hearsay,' Liberal MP suggests

MP Michael Ma cast doubt on reports of human rights abuses in China during a Thursday hearing at the House industry committee. He asked Margaret McCuaig-Johnston, a senior fellow at the University of Ottawa, whether she had seen forced labour with her own eyes, then suggested it was 'hearsay.'
