'I’m responsible': Nova Scotia senior pleads guilty to killing wife in 2022

Douglas Andrew Smith, 74, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to manslaughter in relation to the death of his wife Iris Dodd at their Kingsport, N.S., home in 2022. Smith turned himself in to the RCMP detachment in New Minas the day after the incident, according to police.
Premier Doug Ford is set to speak to reporters at noon Monday. This comes after the premier issued a statement Sunday, announcing the province will sell a $28.9 million private jet that had been purchased for his use.
