Ottawa’s Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee has unanimously approved a motion that would explore options to allow private bus services to supplement transit options. Rideau-Jock councillor David Brown is calling on City Staff to explore the feasibility of this plan, and connect residents in rural villages to OC Transpo Park-and-Rides and other major hubs. OTTAWA — Alexandre Boulerice, the NDP’s lone Quebec MP, has announced he will be seeking the nomination for Québec solidaire (QS) in the Montreal riding of Gouin and that he will be sitting as an independent MP until the election set to happen in the fall.
