Ottawa's Michael O'Connor chasing Olympic dream in flag football

After going unsigned as a CFL free agent in 2023, quarterback Michael O'Connor figured he was done with football. Three years later, the Ottawa native is chasing the Olympic dream as part of the Canadian men's flag football team on the cusp of qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
As extreme weather events become more common, this Earth Day it is more important than ever that we work towards building a resilient community that can adapt to our ever-changing climate.
