A critical report by Newfoundland and Labrador's auditor general highlighted electric vehicle rentals charged to taxpayers by a travel nursing agency. Now, a CBC Investigates analysis of billing records obtained through access to information also raises some questions.
New legislation, titled the Protecting Ontario’s Food Independence Act, was introduced by Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness Minister Trevor Jones on Wednesday.

The inquest jury examining the death of Heather Winterstein has found the Indigenous woman's death in a St. Catharines, Ont., hospital was from septic shock and accidental, and has issued 68 recommendations. The 24-year-old collapsed in the emergency department in 2021 after trying to get help over two days. The family had sought a homicide finding.
