Ottawa must do more to keep forced labour out of Canada's supply chains, advocates say

Former Liberal MP John McKay says the existing Supply Chains Act is not being fully enforced, which could become a trade irritant with the United States as Washington asks Canada to crack down more on slave labour. Hendry Zhang, a researcher with the International Justice and Human Rights Clinic at the University of British Columbia, says companies are not providing detail in their reporting and many firms aren't legally required to share any information.
