Nunavut man wins volleyball title after surviving 3 days in blizzard on snowmobile trip to tournament

Peter Qayutinuak Jr. was part of a group of five Taloyoak, Nunavut, residents who were headed for Gjoa Haven on snowmobiles on Apr. 7 for a volleyball tournament. There was a blizzard and they tried to beat it, but Qayutinuak ended up getting separated from the group, and he wasn't found for another three days.
The Japanese carmaker confirmed the development in a statement Thursday after reports surfaced last week the automaking giant was halting its plans to construct the facility.

Researchers at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto have discovered a gene may be responsible for the behaviours commonly linked to autism. The study published in the May 13 issue of the science journal Nature , looked at genetic data from 9,349 people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and 8,332 without the condition.
