Quebec producer who sold fake maple syrup isn’t stopping, federation alleges

In court documents, the Quebec Federation of Maple Syrup Producers alleges Steve Bourdeau, the producer linked to fake maple syrup, is trying to unload cans of his syrup that have been returned to him by grocery stores and suppliers. The federation wants Bourdeau's operation shut down and his syrup seized.
I’m curious why the NCC closes several parkways and calls it “Bike Days”. I live near Queen Elizabeth Drive, and notice that even when the roadway is closed to cars, the majority of cyclists still use the pathway. This is uncomfortable, if not downright dangerous, for the many pedestrians who use the pathway. But when I suggested to the NCC that they might put up signs to at least encourage cyclists to use the open road, they did not think that would be appropriate. So why call it “Bike Days”? Read More
