Ontario high school students will soon need to pass a Financial Literacy Test in order to receive their graduation credentials. Education Minister Paul Calandra says today’s students need practical and real-world skills, including how to manage money and budgets. But instead of adding Financial Literacy as its own main course within the Grade 10 Mathematics curriculum, it will remain inside the Grade 10 Career Studies curriculum, with a mandatory test attached to it.
