Community rallies to restore vandalized memorial garden in Kelowna

A memorial garden in Kelowna that was vandalized has been restored one day ahead of the National Day of Mourning event taking place on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to name the successor Tuesday to Mary Simon as Canada's 31st governor general since Confederation.

Ontario Provincial Police say they seized drugs with an estimated street value of $4.1 million during a major operation in Cornwall and Montreal last month. The amount of suspected fentanyl recovered equated to "approximately 200,000 potentially lethal street-level doses," according to police.
