Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Mon. April 27th, 2026

April 27, 2026

Another RBC branch is biting the dust in Canada’s Capital. The Royal Bank of Canada says it is prepping the gigantic padlocks for 236 Richmond Road, which will serve its final customers on August 27th. CTV’s Josh Marano delivers the details in Hour 2. Meantime, if you think of Robertson Road in Bells Corners, a commuter road is probably the first thing that pops into your brain. Kristy Cameron checks in with Laine Johnson, who represents the residents of College Ward. Plus, the Ottawa Senators’ season might be over, but the Ottawa Charge still have plenty of ice time remaining on their schedule. That’s because, after a run to the Walter Cup Finals last year, they are back in the PWHL Playoffs for 2026! However, they won’t be facing the Victoire in the Semis, as Montreal takes their chances against Minnesota. CFRA’s Chris Holski sets the scene for Ottawa vs. Boston, which starts this Thursday in Beantown.
