Reeling from crisis, P.E.I.'s oyster industry hopes disease-resistant seed from U.S. helps

Developed by Rutgers University in New Jersey, the seed is hoped to be resistant to MSX and dermo, the two diseases that have ravaged the province’s oyster industry.
Assistant coaches Scott Young, Kevin Dean and Brett McLean have also been dismissed as the team continues its makeover.
