Widow of Windsor officer murdered 20 years ago says Ont. support group is a ‘lifeline’

Twenty years ago, Shelley Atkinson says she experienced “the worst day of my life” after her husband Const. John Atkinson was shot and killed while working as a police officer in Windsor. The Survivors Of Law Enforcement (SOLE) group is made up of 25 widows across Ontario who have lost a spouse in the line of duty.
