Flooded northern Saskatchewan communities look for help

A state of emergency had been declared in 35 communities as of Thursday, with one community already seeking help through the government's Provincial Disaster Assistance Program.
The report says obstacles include unstable access to affordable fibre, excessive regulations, persistent underinvestment in manufacturing, weak capacity to innovate, and inadequate domestic demand for wood-based products.
