This single mom and her family have been living in Ottawa hotels for over a year

Jenny Jasmine and her two daughters have lived in three hotel rooms since April 2025. A fire in one hotel destroyed the family's few belongings, forcing them to relocate. The City of Ottawa houses more than 660 families in hotel rooms at a cost of nearly $30 million.
