A lot of trucks pass through Manotick on a daily basis, and it has generated plenty of community concerns in recent years. And now, the City of Ottawa is trying to figure out the best way for trucks to travel through the city’s South End. Rideau-Jock councillor David Brown pays us a visit in Hour 2. Meantime, hundreds of tickets for Canada’s FIFA World Cup Opener are still up for sale online, with resale sites listing them for over 10 times their original asking price. This is happening despite Ontario’s new anti-scalping law, which makes it illegal to resell tickets for live events beyond face value. Joining us with more context and reaction is Jay Goldberg, the Canadian Affairs Manager at the Consumer Choice Centre.
The 44-year-old mother of two was found dead in April 2024 down a steep embankment off a forest service road near Mabel Lake, on the outskirts of town.
