A lot of trucks pass through Manotick on a daily basis, and it has generated plenty of community concerns in recent years. Meantime, hundreds of tickets for Canada’s FIFA World Cup Opener are still up for sale online, with resale sites listing them for over 10 times their original asking price. This is happening despite Ontario’s new anti-scalping law, which makes it illegal to resell tickets for live events beyond face value. Canadians who invested in CIBC and Renaissance mutual funds may be eligible to receive compensation through an $11-million class-action settlement approved by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. The settlement applies to people who currently hold or previously held units in one or both of the mutual funds.
