An Ottawa man is among critics urging stronger oversight of Canada's international visa hubs — run by a federal contractor paid hundreds of millions taxpayer dollars — after what he describes as "unjustifiable" and "shady" experiences at a visa centre in Bangladesh.

Ottawa is set to host its first ever Hyrox fitness racing event from May 14 to 17, with 14,000 athletes registered to compete. CBC's Sannah Choi met with Hyrox athlete Kenny Caceros, who competed in the 2025 World Championships and has opened the Hybrid Training Pop-Up.
