City launches Ottawa at Night, its official nightlife podcast

May 14, 2026
Each episode of Ottawa At Night is a bilingual look at Ottawa’s nightlife through stories told by the people who live it. Artists, musicians, venue owners and operators make up the guest list.

The Ottawa Nightlife Office has launched Ottawa at Night, a new podcast series that celebrates the people and places behind Ottawa’s nightlife. You can listen wherever you get your podcasts. For those who like to watch, you will find a video version on the City’s YouTube channel.

Each episode of Ottawa at Night is a bilingual journey into our city’s nightlife, told through the stories of the people who bring it to life. Guests include local artists, musicians and the venue owners and operators who shape Ottawa’s after‑dark scene.

The podcast features a mix of interviews and shorter, playful segments, including quizzes, games and the occasional guest performance. The five-episode series runs between 20 and 25 minutes per episode and was recorded on location at Fono, a new venue that opened earlier this year in Centretown.

The first episode features entertainer Remi Royale, singer and musician Yolande Laroche and Ottawa’s poet laureate David O’Meara. Each episode is hosted by a member of the Ottawa Nightlife Office.

Ottawa’s Nightlife Commissioner will appear in one episode. To hear his appearance, you’ll have to follow the series and listen to each episode! He also appeared as a guest on the City’s official podcast, OttaTalk, in March 2025.

Tune in today and watch for new episodes over the coming weeks.

Hundreds of millions of dollars have already been spent on the construction of the new White House ballroom, according to President Donald Trump. To date, it has mostly occurred below ground level. During a press conference at the site on Tuesday, Trump explained that the new 90,000-square-foot White House ballroom will have a massive military complex under it. It will include a military hospital, research facilities and various meeting rooms in the floors below the ballroom, Trump said.
