'Athletes deserve better': 2 Cycling Canada board members resign in response to program cut

Just days after five national cycling team athletes launched an appeal against Cycling Canada to be reinstated for competition, two board members have now resigned from the national sport organization in response to the decision.
Greeted with cheers and Canadian flags lining the streets of Aughagower in County Mayo, Carney returned to the place his grandparents first lived before emigrating to Canada.

After 15 months of declines in Canadians travelling to the United States, new Statistics Canada data suggests the U.S. travel boycott is coming to an end. In May, Canadian return trips from the U.S. totalled 1.9 million, up 9.5 per cent from the same month in 2025 and the second consecutive month of year-over-year growth. The increase was driven by a rise in return trips by automobile (+15.1 per cent), while return trips from the U.S. by air in May remained below levels from the year before, falling 5.5 per cent last month.
